Mrs. Whitney



Brief Biography:
I am originally from this area. I graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1999. I earned my B.S. in physics from Mansfield University in 2002 and my M.S. in physics from RPI in 2003. I worked as an engineer for ITT Space Systems Division from 2004 to 2006. I have been teaching high school since 2006. I was pleased to join the Wellsboro High School faculty in 2015. I am married with two children who attend the Wellsboro Area School District.

Courses:
I teach woodworking, technology education, and child care courses. The woodworking classes include Introduction to Shop Skills, Shop Skills, Woodworking 1, and Woodworking 2. The technology education classes include Small Engine Repair, Shop Maintenance & Repair, Engineering 1, Plumbing, and Electricity. There is more information about the technology education classes here. For the Fall 2019 semester, I will be teaching Intro to Shop Skills, Woodworking 1, Woodworking 2, Engineering 1, Plumbing, Small Engine Technology, Child Development, and Child Care.

For the Spring 2020 semester, I will be teaching Shop Skills, Woodworking 1, Woodworking 2, Engineering 1, Electricity, Shop Maintenance & Repair, Child Development, and Child Care.

​Activities:
In addition to teaching these courses, I am also the Student Council Advisor.
